Children From China (FCC) is a volunteer organization of families who have
adopted or are preparing to adopt a child from China or of Chinese
ethnicity. The purpose of FCC-Chicago is to provide a supportive network
for families and to provide information that fosters understanding,
respect and appreciation of our children's Chinese culture and heritage.

Adoptive Families
Today (AFT) is a support group for prospective adoptive parents, adoptive
parents, adoption professionals and all those interested in adoption.
AFT will continue to grow as a leader in adoption
education and support. We will be a catalyst for building awareness of
adoption issues and changing attitudes. We will be a resource provider of
adoption information.

The 15th Midwest Adoption Conference is now in the development phase!
An educational conference for pre-adoptive parents, adoptive and foster families, birth
parents, adult adoptees and professionals.

Social Workers: The
Illinois Department of Professional Regulations approved 6
Continuing Education Credits for attendance at our conference.
Foster Care Families:
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services
has approved 5.5 credit hours for conference
attendance. Forms available
here.
Pre-Adoptive Families: The Conference will
provide 6 hours of education for families who need to fulfill the
Hague requirements. Check with your agency, as acceptance of
the credits is an agency decision. The Conference provides a
number of workshops addressing the Hague requirements.
